Welcome to The Borough

From its humble beginnings as a coffee cart serving out of a garage under the name “Golden Grounds,” The Borough has evolved into a full-fledged café in Allendale. The cafe’s menu features a range of American-style dishes, including bagels, soup, salads, and sandwiches, all with a touch of innovation. For those in the mood for something trendy, the menu also includes acai bowls, boba tea, and coffee drinks.

About the Owner

Hey everyone! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and thank you for your support. My name is Hannah, and I am so very proud to be the owner and founder of The Borough.

I can’t help but feel pride and gratitude as I reflect on our journey changing over from Golden Grounds to The Borough. It took determination and preservation from myself and so many others to bring you a brand new building and menu in just under seven closed months. And as a young entrepreneur, I am so blessed to have such great teams of people supporting my vision and my growth.

I am incredibly excited to continue the growth of The Borough with each and every one of our patrons. I am a firm believer in the power food has in bringing people together, and I am honored to bring a space that helps cultivate that in our community. Whether you become a regular or swing by once to check us out, we all have the opportunity to make a positive impact on each other, all while enjoying some really great food.
